Leesburg, Lamborghinis & Lebanese

After juggling our chaotic schedules throughout the week, we look forward to Saturdays as a way to escape from the busyness of life. Most Saturdays find us on the road, exploring anything from an antique shop to a roadside market. We’ll venture just about anywhere within a 2-3 hours radius of our home.

One of our favorite day-trip destinations is Leesburg, Va. This two hour drive weaves us through the winding backroads of three different states, while showcasing local farms and orchards nestled in the hills and meadows. Regardless of the season, it is beyond picturesque.

Arriving in Leesburg is like going home in a way. It feels so familiar. The first stop on our tour is the Taste of Lebanon, which has incredible authentic Lebanese food. We would happily drive the two hours just for their fresh hummus and pita. From hearty lentil soup and stuffed grape leaves to their savory main dishes such as shawarma and kabobs, this restaurant is worth it. Afterwards, we head to

Mom’s Apple Pie, which is located in a converted garage/gas station from a bygone era. The confections at this pint-sized shop are tasty, but their banana cream pie is in a class by itself. A word to the wise, pricing isn’t listed for every item, which can cause “sticker shock”,

if you’re not aware.

Once we’re satiated, we head to Lamborghini Washington where luxury has no boundaries. From a linear Lamborghini Murcielago to a cobalt blue Ferrari Spider to a $1,000,000+ Rolls-Royce Phantom, these vehicles are the epitome of a car enthusiast's dreams. Despite this high-end inventory, photographers are welcome to capture images of these incredible vehicles.

Aside from these stops, Leesburg, along with it’s surrounding areas, has so much to offer from charming historic districts to quaint shops and even outlet shopping. Not to mention fruit stands and farmers markets scattered along the country roads.

Leesburg is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
