About the Author
Dana was born and raised much of her childhood in Germany, which sparked a passion for travel. However, her greatest joy comes from being a wife and mother. Dana is also a dedicated educator. For nearly 20 years, she taught English & Life Skills to immigrants from more than 50 countries. In the last few years, Dana has launched The Family Journey website, as well as
The Final Thoughts Podcast. Last year, she published her first children's book, The Sneaky Freckle, which is part of a series.
About the Series
From something as small as a freckle to something as life-altering as a physical handicap, The Sneaky Series is inspired by the the personal challenges Dana's children faced as they were growing up. She wrote The Sneaky Series as a way to shed light on these issues, while instilling a greater sense of compassion in each of us.
1st Book in the Series
​Join Sophie as she tries to solve the mystery behind the small brown spots scattered across her face. While Sophie tries desperately to get rid of them, each attempt to do so fails. Eventually, Sophie comes to love her "sneaky freckles" as much as she loves her new look. After all, Sophie isn't just different, she is unique!
